Bradley Hillier-Smith, a young Lib Dem, has not just been talking, but been taking action on the streets of London to raise awareness of the conditions in Calais. He and his team has also collected donations of items and money. Going further than that, whilst most of us were in warm homes with our families, he went to Calais.
There he saw conditions for himself, met those who were working tirelessly as volunteers to try to make things better for those in the makeshift camp there, and worked hard himself. He is calling for a political solution for those stranded in northern France, as the work of the volunteers is not going to give solutions on its own to these very vulnerable people.
