Wanting to play our part in making sure that those seeking sanctuary are not demonised, and their situation is properly understood, Liberal Democrats for Seekers of Sanctuary drew up a small card with the correct terms on (attached)
At Lib Dem Conference our President, Lord Roger Roberts and some of the Lib Dem Seekers of Sanctuary Council presented ” let’s get the names right” to the BBC to help them give right names for people at different stages. we will listen out for them getting it right now !
