President of Liberal Democrats for Seekers of Sanctuary, Rev. Lord Roberts of Llandudno today welcomed the announcement that the Government is to offer Syrian refugees a home in the UK – but warned that important questions remain unanswered.
The Government has announced that the UK will offer refuge to those displaced by the violence in Syria, with torture victims, disabled people and the elderly getting priority.
But, he added, the real work was only just beginning.
